During an annual exam, I discuss any gynecologic issues you may be experiencing and perform a breast and pelvic exam. For teens, we also discuss safe sex practices, STD screening, self-image, and safety in college.
Annual Exams
A pap test is a screening for cervical cancer. The guidelines of how often a woman should get a pap can be confusing. Click HERE to listen to the latest guidelines. Abnormal Pap Tests
Heavy uterine bleeding can be very disruptive to your daily routine. Women who have very heavy periods can often feel light headed and dizzy. There are many causes of heavy bleeding including polyps, fibroids, adenomyosis, and abnormal cells of the uterus including cancer. Ovarian Cysts
Ovarian cysts are a common problem in women, from the teen years to the post-menopausal years. Sometimes they don’t cause any symptoms. However, when they are large enough or start twisting they can cause severe pain.
There are many different types of ovarian cysts.
Depending on when these cysts occur in a woman’s life, the recommendation on whether to remove them or not may differ.

Vaginal Infections
Vaginal infections are uncomfortable, itchy, and sometimes painful. You want it gone NOW! These infections can be easily diagnosed and treated in the office.The most common vaginal infections like bacterial vaginosis and yeast. It is important to be seen and examined in the office for a proper diagnosis.

Birth control is important to prevent unwanted pregnancies. Luckily, we have a variety of options available now that are suitable for different goals and lifestyles. We are happy to discuss this in detail and help you pick the right option for you.
Pelvic Pain
Pelvic pain can be debilitating and hard to diagnose. Patients have to take time off of work and the pain can be so severe that they may have to even quit their job. There are many reasons why someone may have pelvic pain, endometriosis being one of the more common causes. We can help you figure out why you are suffering from pelvic pain and guide you along the correct treatment paths.
Painful Sex
There are many reasons why someone may be experiencing painful sex. They include tight pelvic muscles, spasming of pelvic muscles, endometriosis, fibroids, remnant hymenal tissue, vaginal dryness, and not enough lubrication. Everyone deserves to have good sex! Infertility
Infertility or reduced fertility is an increasing problem in today's world. One in 8 couples have trouble conceiving. There are many reasons for this including issues with the male partner, the female partner, or unexplained. If you are younger than 35 and have not been able to conceive for over 1 year, or if you are older than 35 and have not been able to conceive for 6 months, it is time to seek additional care. PMB
Vaginal spotting or bleeding after menopause can be a scary thing. Afterall, aren’t you supposed to NOT get any periods after this time? There are a few different reasons why a woman may experience postmenopausal bleeding. This issue needs prompt evaluation from a gynecologist.
POP
Do you feel a bulge between your legs? Like something is falling out? Have you been urinating alot or having trouble urinating? Do you need to stick your fingers into your vagina to have a bowel movement? If you say YES to any of the above, you could be suffering from prolapse. This is a condition we treat in our office.
Pregnancy
Pregnancy is such an exciting time in a woman’s life, and for everyone involved! In my practice, I currently do not provide pregnancy care. I do see patients under 12 weeks to perform a pregnancy verification ultrasound or for a consult for nausea/vomiting or any other concerns they may have. However, once you pass the 12-week mark, you will need to see a provider who will guide you through your entire pregnancy.
Postpartum Care
The “Fourth trimester” is something I am very passionate about. As a mom of three, I have significant experience with the post-partum period and the unique challenges it brings.
